It was interesting that, even though this was only a wash, depth was created by combining varying amounts of white, and shadows. Hills were created.

also, the greatest amount of white mixed was at the cusp of the change of location from the ground to the sky. That said, it was completely unintentional, and I will eventually remove the sky anyway.

The sky will be removed for other objects and something more substantial... maybe underwater mixed with space.

using the distance foreshortening is working. I am also getting closer to the way birds look.

I also added another star fish in search of trying to get it to fit correctly.

I also am continuing not painting to the edges of things, nut to overlapp instead, assuming that there will be more layers anyway.

Here I used a ground color to mix with blue (ult)/slight white, but I don't remember what it was. The ground color pushed the vibrancy out of the other colors. The green /yellow /slight white of the star is too vibrant...(I did add very slight blue to the star but it was so slight, it practically not there)

For the sky, I used yellow light, heavy white, and some kind of orange, I think cad. orange deep or regular. I darkened the star with ult blue while still wet below. I was not careful as I put it on the canvas, and was even mixed at the edges to the ground.  Because I did this, the sky seems to mix with the ground instead of going behind it.

I used a round, probably 6, and it had used up bristles so it wasn't  straight bristles like when new.

I allowed for the edges to be broken and carefree
