Ideas
Things I will try and eventually change (major progress knowledge that is basic and I should have learned years ago)
I will stop cleaning my brush with gamisol in the pot. Instead I will clean on a towel and avoid gamisol
use a palatte knife to find and mix my oils instead of a brush. mixing with a brush make the brush dirty along with the making of the paint thinner with gamisol.
I wii keep my Gamisol pot closed at all times and instead use towels to removeeoils and also make the air around me cleaner.
I also need a new glass palatte. I used to use one but could not find one when it broke. I have been using plastic but I need to stop
The object of the 'current oil paintings style' was originally to start with the focus on my strength of color theory, and build on it, while learning to become better at brush work.
At the same time, I wanted to create a style for myself naturally. At first, I had nothing. But now, as of 12/21/24, I have removed the sky completely, used the trees as ways to force the eye to move and to create balance, and to use the extra space as underwater, sky, and space. Currently, I am still working on this. But I am building on it quickly.
This is part of a painting from Edvard Munch . Notice the lack of saturation. This is beautiful and brings up several ideas to use with Acrylics. Generally, I do not like acrylics for this reason, but I have ideas.
