Oil paintings by S
Staccato, sold
I rarely show my art. But I paid for a wall at a major show in NYC. I was appproached by several galleries in one day. This style got me accepted to be represented to a major gallery in NYC, a minor one, and a major one in Singapore, plus other minor ones across the country. Unfortunately, this style took several months to a year a piece, which made the art something of a drawback for galleries, and My MS began flaring up at the time.
I tried simplifying future paintings, which is where my second style came in. I quit this style for my current style, which uses paint brushes (which is easier on my muscles) I focused on color theory useage, which I was already good at, and learning how to get better with brushstrokes, and creating a new style, there.
I live in Greensboro NC. From this experience, I learned that it doesn't matter how good your art is. For getting represented, what matters is how easy it is for other galleries to see it... and considering my location, and that I am Autistic, and don't enjoy attention, I gave up on trying to find a gallery to sell my artwork.
